Hi! I'm Tannis
I've spent more than twenty years working as a teacher, curriculum developer, facilitator, and learning designer. I'm Currently Based out of Nanaimo, on the unceded territories of three Coast Salish Communites (Snaw Naw As, Snunéymuxw, and Stz’uminus).
I'm a maker at heart and I love creating things: classroom resources, learning tools, curriculum frameworks, interactive experiences, books, games, websites, and sometimes entirely new ways of approaching familiar learning challenges.
Over the years I've worked in classrooms, district leadership, language revitalization projects, curriculum development, publishing, and professional learning. What connects all of that work is a fascination with how understanding develops and how we can make important relationships visible for learners.
Today, Rooted in Reasoning brings together many of those interests through consulting, resource development, and collaborative educational projects.
